Make friends as an adult, without dating apps
Apps to meet people keep you swiping profiles. But friends usually come from doing things: the same gym, the same park, the same class. atitb starts there: you go out and do your thing, and if someone nearby is doing the same, you can join up.
Open atitb →What makes atitb different
- Not a dating or “meet people” app: a nudge to go out and do something.
- No profiles or photos: nothing to swipe or rate. No chat, no feed: just what, where and when.
- Small groups, up to 8, and nothing is required: if nobody comes, you do it alone.
- Free, no ads, no account: it runs in your browser.
How it works
- Answer three short questions: what you would do without a phone, what you would dare.
- See what people nearby are up to (a walk, a coffee, a sunset, board games) or mark your own.
- If someone joins, the exact spot appears 1 hour before. When you meet, you scan each other’s QR and phones go in pockets.
A new project
atitb has just started and there are still few people, especially in Tenerife. What helps most is putting up something of your own, or looking in now and then.
